Cheryl Simoens M.A., B.A., C.C.C.
Cheryl holds a Master’s in Psychology and brings over 10 years of experience supporting adults, adolescents, and youth through challenges in both career development and mental health. In her practice, she helps clients navigate complex issues, offering guidance through struggles related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship conflict. Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys caring for her two rescue Husky dogs and spending time outdoors.
With a compassionate and empathetic approach, Cheryl understands how life’s challenges can lead to negative thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Her therapeutic focus includes inclusivity and accessibility, supporting clients dealing with complex trauma, emotion regulation, maladaptive self-image, and chronic illness. Cheryl is dedicated to helping individuals on their journey of self-discovery, empowering them to unlock their potential and create a brighter, healthier future.
Kym Cuthill, RSW, MSW
Kym is a master’s prepared registered social worker with extensive experience in mental health, working with individuals of all ages. Her career began in pediatric oncology before transitioning to Child and Adolescent Mental Health, where she developed expertise in addressing youth mental health challenges. Over the years, Kym became highly skilled in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), focusing on emotion regulation, and later applied her skills in Adult Mental Health, providing individual therapy and group sessions through both DBT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In her practice, Kym creates a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. Using DBT and CBT, she helps clients understand how their thoughts and emotions shape behavior, empowering them with practical coping strategies. Kym’s holistic approach takes into account family, culture, and societal influences, highlighting clients’ strengths and resilience. She also has experience in employee assistance counseling and has supported clients through challenging times, including those brought on by the pandemic.
Kristy Rebenchuk, RSW, MSW
Kristy is a compassionate master’s level registered social worker with over 15 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Having worked both internationally and across Canada, she has supported clients through struggles like eating disorders, grief, addiction, mental health issues, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties. Kristy works with clients of all ages, from children to adults, and tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of each stage of life.
Rooted in a holistic approach, Kristy uses a bio-psychosocial-spiritual lens to view each person as unique. Her therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, uncover strengths, and move toward healing. With empathy and compassion, Kristy helps clients rediscover hope and supports them every step of the way in building a brighter future.
Ciji Khan, BSW, Masters in Counselling
Ciji Khan is a Registered Social Worker in Manitoba with over 15 years of experience helping individuals through life’s challenges. With a background in working with high-risk youth in child welfare and adults in the justice system, she has expertise in mental health, addiction, homelessness, trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Her diverse experience allows her to support both children and adults with compassionate, individualized care.
Ciji’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as her main methods. Through CBT, she helps clients understand how their thoughts and emotions affect behavior, encouraging healthier thinking. EMDR assists clients in processing triggers and replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. Ciji offers a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can be authentic, and she is committed to guiding them on their path to healing and growth.
Larissa Barr, RSW, MSW
Larissa is a dedicated clinical social worker who helps individuals navigate a wide range of concerns, including eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. In addition, she supports clients dealing with self-esteem, body image issues, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress. Known for her caring and approachable nature, Larissa is committed to each client’s well-being, ensuring they feel both understood and supported throughout therapy.
By combining a holistic approach with evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Larissa tailors the therapeutic process to each person’s needs. She creates a space where clients can build self-awareness, process emotions, and develop practical skills for lasting change.
